Social Impact & Ethical Cacao

A Story Rooted in the Land

Each bar of KAMM Chocolate carries a story. A story of ancestral cacao trees that have endured time, and of the Chachi community in Esmeraldas, Ecuador—guardians of one of the country’s most sacred cacao legacies.

While the global chocolate industry chose productivity, we chose authenticity. We work hand in hand with communities to reconnect them with their ancestral trees—trees that are over 80 years old, some more than 100, and still producing fruit rich in flavor, nutrients, and history.

Empowering Women, Respecting Roots

Our impact begins in the field. Women play a key role in harvesting, caring for trees, and preserving ancestral techniques. By creating a system where knowledge is honored, and efforts are fairly compensated, we ensure that the cacao we use builds futures, not just chocolate bars.

Every piece of KAMM represents a partnership rooted in dignity, transparency, and mutual growth.

A Circular Economy with Zero Waste

Our ethical approach extends to the entire fruit. KAMM is the first chocolate brand to sweeten its bars with cacao mucilage—the sweet pulp that’s normally discarded. We also extract theobromine from the outer shell, converting waste into function.

This commitment to a zero-waste chocolate process is how we align sustainability with ancestral intelligence.

Beyond Chocolate: A Legacy Preserved

Our factory blends ancient practices with modern innovation to protect a unique cacao strain and make it known worldwide. But our true goal is legacy. By preserving rare cacao genetics and investing in the people who nurture them, KAMM becomes more than a chocolate brand—it becomes a bridge between past and future.
